CP 1.188 “Classificatory physics describes and classifies physical forms and seeks to explain them by the laws discovered by nomological physics with which it ultimately tends to coalesce. Descriptive physics describes individual objects -- the earth and the heavens -- endeavors to explain their phenomena by the principles of nomological and classificatory physics, and tends ultimately itself to become classificatory.” END

I am glad that Peirce makes clear there is more than one way to understand physics. The ways may ultimately coalesce.

Heavens – plural – refers to the growing assembly of extra-terrestrial realities that at present defy enumerating. Heaven in terms of this discussion is related to the entirety of all that is regardless of how we understand it.

Some surmise Reality is holographic. Others that it is material. It is a common presupposition of Heaven that life itself is to be found in many forms in many locations within the whole Reality that exists.

Heaven is a understood to be dimensions or levels within this seemingly endless space. All who incarnate – Souls – may take form as they determine. Each Soul habitat in the Heavens has its own unique characteristics. There can be encounters between occupants of different places. In sum, there is a Heaven aspect that, as far as we can infer, permeates the entirety of Reality.

Peirce was a scientist, not a theologian. But his premises are consistent with a realistic theological perspective. And he evidences in his works, articles that speak of God and a his teleology which is agapeic, tending toward the unconditional love that is the essential nature of Heaven.

Peirce left us with the makings of a foundation. He was never able to claim there was a Peircean System though several have attempted to create one in his wake.

Triadic Philosophy recognizes that Peirce’s estate consists of a living body of thought that can nurture pragmaticism – his name for it, distinct from the pragmatism he founded but later moved beyond.

It is precisely because Triadic Philosophy can build on a foundation that makes Heaven possible in our materialistic world that we can speak confidently. Our language that embraces what we know by measurement and what we experience by intuition and imagination and feeling.

As we become more and more knowing regarding the whole of what is, we see that our mathematically provable science bears the marks of the metaphysically certain premises of mystics. Coalescence is possible.
